Either there is the white mark on the place where the trailer has to be parked at or there is this green sign near the entrance of the company to select the difficulty of trailer parking. Either you are at the wrong place or you have to go directly to the white trailer parking mark because there is only this one.
u can unhook a trailor if u want to explore an area then go back for it. I do it a lot when i come to a service station with multiple pass throughs to turn it yellow. so with them i pull up to the parking area unhook drive around to get everything yellow then go back and hook up again and off to do my delivery. usualy those places r too tight to get the trailor around and u have to drive the

Here in Finland most common type of combination is truck+dolly+trailer, reversing it is the same as a b-double but you can't split it for reversing. technically with double/TPD you can detach the rearmost trailer, then dolly, steer with remaining single in a dock and then do it to another or let some other truck do it.
